MyLo Lowcountry and Holy City Sinner are proud to present the MyLo Photo Contest! We invite photographers of all skill levels to showcase the beauty, essence, and unique characteristics of Charleston, SC. This is your chance to highlight what makes Charleston special through your photography.

Contest Timeline

Submission Period: March 20, 2024 - April 30, 2024
Voting Period Round 1: April 30, 2024-May 21, 2024
Voting Period Round 2: (top 10 finalists): May 22, 2024-June 5, 2024
Winners Announced - contest end: June 6, 2024

Submission Guidelines

Eligibility: Open to all photographers (amateur and professional).
Themes: Submissions should focus on capturing the essence of Charleston, SC, including landscapes, cityscapes, local events, wildlife, architecture, or portraits that embody the city's vibe, and more. Get creative!
Entries must be submitted through our official contest website. Each participant can submit up to 3 photographs.
Photo Requirements: Submitted photos must be in JPEG or PNG format, with a minimum resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. Photos must not contain watermarks, signatures, or any identifying marks. Please include a title and short description of what’s in the photos.
Original Work: All submissions must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe upon the rights of any third party.
Newsletter Subscription: By entering the contest, all participants agree to subscribe to newsletters from Mylo Lowcountry and Holy City Sinner.

Voting Process

After the submission period, all eligible photos will be uploaded to our voting platform.

Round 1: Initial Voting Period
The first round of voting will span a total of three weeks. This period allows participants and supporters ample time to view all entries and cast their votes for their favorites. The goal of this round is to identify the top 10 standout contestants whose entries captivate and impress the voting audience the most. Encourage your friends and family to vote for your entry! Remember, the finalists are determined by the number of votes received.
Round 2: Final Voting Period
Following the initial round, the top 10 contestants will advance to Round 2, which will last for two weeks. This final voting stage is the last hurdle before the grand prize announcement. In this decisive round, the community's votes will determine the ultimate winners. The contestants with the highest number of votes at the end of this period will be declared the champions and awarded the prizes.

Prizes

First Place: Prizes totaling $5,000, including hotel stays, restaurant gift certificates, spa treatments.
Second Place: Prizes totaling $2,500 in value.
Third Place: Prizes totaling $1,000 in value.
